How can I be a sponsor for this race?
When and where does the race start?
Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 10:45 a.m. (Chase the Chief) 11:00 a.m. (5K) in the 100 Block of East Fifth Street, near Jolly Pumpkin.
Do I need to register for the race to walk or run on the route?
Yes, only participants with race bibs will be allowed onto the route.
What are the entry fees?
$ 30 through 11:59 p.m. on April 30th, 2019. $35 through 11:59 p.m. on May 31st, 2019. $40 on June 1st, 2019 (Race Day).
Online registration will be close at 11:59 pm on Friday, May 31st, 2019. Day of entries will need to register at the race site.
Is there pre-race packet pickup?
Yes – Friday, June 5 from 2-7pm at the Royal Oak Police Department, conference room, 221 E Third St., Royal Oak. Race day packet pickup is also available from 7:00 a.m.-8:30 a.m., 100 Block of East Fifth Street, directly behind Jolly Pumpkin.
Is packet mailing available?
What do I do if I don’t want to do the whole distance?
You are not obligated to finish, we would just ask that you clear the course before the participants start finishing as not to impact the finish experience.
Can I donate without running?
Yes! All donations will go directly to the health and wellness of the employees of the Royal Oak Police Department. Call 248-246-3201 to make your donation.
Where will spectators be able to see the race?
There many opportunities to cheer on your athletes along the race course. (See the race course above.)
Will there be water and food at the finish?
Yes, there will be water AND DOUGHNUTS for participants at the finish.
Will there be bathrooms available?
Yes, port-a-potties at the start/finish line.
Are costumes allowed?
Are dogs allowed?
No, dogs are not allowed on the race course.
Can I take a jogging stroller on the course?
What type of shirts will participants get?
All participants will receive a 60/40 tri blend t-shirt with their registration packet, or on the day of the race at race day registration. Race day registrants are not guaranteed a t-shirt. (See shirt above.)
Will spectators be allowed on the route to take photographs?
Yes, if they are off the street and not blocking the runners progress.
Where can I park at the start?
There will be FREE parking available in downtown Royal Oak until 11:00 a.m. near the start/finish line. There are several parking lots within a few blocks!
Can I purchase a T-shirt if I don’t want to run the race?
Yes, they can be purchased on race day depending on availability after participants receive their shirts.
Will there be water stations on the course?
Yes, there will be a water station at approximately the halfway point of the race. (See the race course map above.)
Is the race being timed?
Will I get a finishers medal?
What are the awards?
The top three in both the male and female finisher in each age division (19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+) will receive medals for their accomplishments!
What is your policy on deferrals and refunds?
There are no refunds or deferrals permitted.
